Aborted Babies and Other Medical Waste Used for Fuel by Oregon?

Biomedical wastes have reportedly been sent out on a regular basis from British Columbia for incineration at an American plant in Oregon, which converts the heat generated into energy. An article from the extremely questionable Washington Times twisted this into an anti-abortion narrative in 2014.

According to the story, the B.C. Catholic apparently released a story about “surgically removed cancerous tissue, amputated limbs and fetal tissue” being transported to Oregon for incineration at a waste-to-energy plant.

However, the Washington Times story cited LifeSiteNews without offering a link for readers to check its sources. This story combines some truth with a weaponized anti-abortion narrative. A more thorough debunking of this rumor can be found here.
