It was an account of an incident that involved a group of Muslims and a freelance automotive writer David Menzies, who was photographing his nine year old son with his new camera in the Younge-Dundas Square in Toronto, Ontario.
According to an August 4, 2011 article in Britain’s Daily Mail, Menzies said that he was trying out his new Cannon digital camera when a “woman in a hijab approached him shouting that he could not take a picture of her.” The article went on to say that Menzies said that he was “punched in the head by the woman and surrounded by a group of people shouting Arabic at him. A police officer then refused to press charges.”
