This is just one of the many examples of what is known at the Nigerian Advance Fee scam. These people will communicate with you and convince you that large amounts of money are going to be sent to your bank account, 10 percent of which you can keep for your services of helping distribute it. At the last minute, however, you will be told that there is some kind of glitch that requires you to send some money to them to clear. That’s when they and your money disappear. They never had any money to send to you. They just set you up to get your money to them.
