Ben Shapiro ‘Look How Beautiful My Sister Looks’ Tweet

On February 18 2022, a screenshot of a purported Ben Shapiro tweet (“Look at how beautiful my sister looks”) was shared to Imgur:

Claim: Ben Shapiro tweeted: "Look at how beautiful my sister looks. Simply glowing. I’ve literally been staring at these photos for hours[.]"

Description: Ben Shapiro is claimed to have tweeted: ‘Look at how beautiful my sister looks. Simply glowing. I’ve literally been staring at these photos for hours’. This tweet was supposedly attached to edited images of his sister, Abby Shapiro.

Rating: Not True

Rating Explanation: The claim originated from a Reddit post and gained traction on different social platforms. However, no actual tweet from Ben Shapiro praising his sister’s looks could be found, and the images were evidently edited versions of an original Instagram post by Abby Shapiro. The claim was possibly created to mock Shapiro and was mistaken for authenticity.

Notably, every supposed screenshot we found was identical to every other one. None included dates or differing engagement counts (as though only one single screenshot existed), and neither Twitter search nor Google returned any trace of a real tweet from Ben Shapiro praising his sister’s looks.

Google Trends data for the seven-day period ending February 18 2022 indicated strong search interest for the tweet itself and terms related to it. Search terms with “breakout” levels of interest included “Ben Shapiro sister,” “Ben Shapiro sister Twitter pregnant,” “Ben Shapiro look how beautiful my sister looks,” look how beautiful my sister looks, “Ben Shapiro sister glowing,” and “Ben Shapiro hot sister tweet.”

Photographs seen in the purported tweet originated with a February 11 2022 Instagram post by Abby Shapiro. It included the original images, which had been edited in the Twitter screenshot to make Shapiro’s breasts appear larger.

The first version we located was shared by user _VeganExtremist_ to Reddit’s r/196; the image was not explicitly marked satire, but clearly the tweet was created to mock Shapiro:

A Twitter screenshot attributed to Ben Shapiro (“Look how beautiful my sister looks …”) began circulating on February 15 2022, a few days after Abby Shapiro shared her original unedited photographs to Instagram. Edited versions of the photographs were appended to a fake tweet (not clearly labeled as such) on r/196, from which point it spread across platforms. Shapiro is often the subject of fabricated tweets often mistaken for authentic, among them the “hot sister” screenshot circulating in February 2022.
