This particular image alleged to be from a satellite camera is viewed as a hoax, however.
There is no such satellite as GeoStar 45.
The time-stamp on the photo says “EST” but it was actually Daylight Savings Time.
Most satellites keep time in UTC, not a particular region’s local time.
Also, the outline of the blackout areas is not accurate.
