Rumors that a 40-year Syrian refugee who’d been in the United States since 2013 was arrested and charged with beating and raping the pregnant woman started with a post appearing at EEUUNews.com, a website that “does not make any warranties about the completeness, reliability and accuracy.”
The post, which appears under the headline,”The pregnant woman is raped by a ‘Muslim refugee’: ‘The son of a bit*ch raped me for hours,'” shows graphic images of a woman with severe facial injuries and states:
A refugee from Syria has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 38-year-old woman in HAMTRAMCK, Michigan.
The woman was attacked , on Sunday.
The suspect, 40, who has lived in USA since 2013, was charged with rape and placed in police custody.

However, these photos actually show an Argentine woman named Paola Mascambruni who was the victim of domestic abuse. Mascambruni told her story to MSN, which published a story about her ordeal on March 30, 2017:
