According to a Lone Star Times August 13, 2009 article, Mayer admitted to impersonating a physician at the town hall meeting. The paper said she disclosed that information to Lone Star Times blogger David Jennings in a phone interview. Mayer told Jennings that "she thought it would help her credibility."
