Rich Buhler is the founder of TruthorFiction and was a broadcaster, speaker, author, broadcast journalist, and producer who researched and wrote about rumors and urban legends for more than 30 years. Because of both his knowledge about what he terms “eRumors” and his broadcast background, Rich was a popular guest on radio and television and has appeared on national and international outlets including on CNN, MSNBC, NBC, Fox News, BBC, CBC, as well as local television and radio stations from Maryland to California. He has also either written, or been featured in, numerous newspaper and magazine articles. Rich operated TruthOrFiction.com until his death from pancreatic cancer in May of 2012, his family wrote and operated truthorfiction.com on his behalf until late 2018 and are still owners of the site.

Mozilla CEO Stepped Down Over Proposition 8 Donation-Truth!

This is a forwarded email that appears to look like an article about Brendan Eich, who was appointed CEO of Mozilla on March 24, 2014. The article alleged that Eich stepped down because of a protest launched against Mozilla by an online dating website called “OKCupid.” The reason for the protest was because Eich supported Proposition 8 in California with a $1000 donation. Proposition 8 was a bill on the 2008 ballot that would ban gay marriage in the Golden State.

This is a forwarded email that contains what appears to be an article by the Reverend Austin Miles that said that the Democratic National Convention (DNC) prohibited members from a group of organized churches, assembled in the Charlotte area, from handing out gift baskets to delegates. They were told by the DNC that this was owing to differences in the Democratic Party platform and the traditional values held by the congregations.
