Rich Buhler is the founder of TruthorFiction and was a broadcaster, speaker, author, broadcast journalist, and producer who researched and wrote about rumors and urban legends for more than 30 years. Because of both his knowledge about what he terms “eRumors” and his broadcast background, Rich was a popular guest on radio and television and has appeared on national and international outlets including on CNN, MSNBC, NBC, Fox News, BBC, CBC, as well as local television and radio stations from Maryland to California. He has also either written, or been featured in, numerous newspaper and magazine articles. Rich operated TruthOrFiction.com until his death from pancreatic cancer in May of 2012, his family wrote and operated truthorfiction.com on his behalf until late 2018 and are still owners of the site.

Store Closed to Commemorate the Martyrdom of a 9/11 Terrorist- Fiction!

This is a forwarded email with an attached photo of a note hung on September 11, 2009 in a department store window located in Houston, Texas. The note in the photo says that the store will be closed to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Ali. The email says that he was one of the 9/11 terrorists who flew a hijacked jetliner into the 2001 attack of the World Trade Center in New York.

Clause in the Health Care Bill That Prevents any Changes-Opinion!

This is a forwarded email that warns of a clause in the Health Care bill that was inserted by Senator Harry Reid of Nevada to prevent any changes or repeal. It warns that on page 1,000 of the measure, Section 3403 that it reads: “it shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection.” The email goes on to warn that if President Barack Obama signs this measure into law, no future Senate or House will be able to change a single word of Section 3403, regardless whether future Americans or their representatives in Congress wish otherwise!!

The Navy Seal who responded with force to the atheist professor-Unproven!

An atheist professor told his class that he was going to prove there was no God. He then challenged God, if he was real, to knock him off the platform on which he was standing. He gave God 15 minutes to do it. Toward the end of the time limit, according to the story, a Navy SEAL who was a veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq walked up to the professor and hit him in the face, knocking him from the platform and said “God was really busy, protecting America’s soldiers, who are protecting your right to say whatever stupid thing comes to your mind!!! So he sent me!!”
